Here at All Saints, all students are given the chance to contribute to Academy life. This can be through tutor group charity events, inter-house sports competitions, the Archbishop’s Award or through being a part of subject leadership teams.

Hi,

My name is Luke and I am the Head Prefect for St Hild House at All Saints Academy. I am currently in Year 11, I love to paint and go on hikes with my dog. My time at All Saints so far has been phenomenal, the welcoming community and the wide variety of facilities provide an excellent place to learn. All Saints offers an extensive range of courses that award GCSE and BTEC qualifications that gives the students the freedom to choose what they would love to learn. Alongside these subjects comes a vast number of facilities. As someone passionate about art and photography, the school has a plethora of resources. Not just the Art department, the Technologies, Sport, Humanities, English, Science and Maths departments all offer excellent facilities. The Sports department’s trampolines are a favourite amongst students. These departments also further ways to explore each subject: whether that be afterschool clubs or out of school competitions. The Cranmer Awards; RA Young Artists Summer Show; Magistrates and the Bar Mock Trials; Voice in a Million; and The Creative Writing competition are just a few.

My own motivation for becoming a prefect was to provide a positive influence to others in the school and that taking on the role would be another chance to support other students and be able to make sure their experience in school is a good one. Also to make sure the values of my house; equality and inclusiveness, are upheld, particularly because I hold those values very close to my heart.

Here at All Saints, all students are given the chance to contribute to Academy life. This can be through tutor group charity events, inter-house sports competitions, the Archbishop’s Award or through being a part of subject leadership teams. Over the course of my time here, I have tried to make sure I get involved in as many of these opportunities as possible. I have been an Art, Drama and Spanish Leader and I am a part of the SEND and Peer Mentor Teams: a group of older students where we try to support students in younger years who need the guidance on settling into school life.

Being a Prefect has given me a great chance to show my leadership skills, to develop my character, deal with tricky situations and guide a fellow team of prefects. Furthermore, it has also helped me think carefully about how I communicate with my peers and how I balance my studies with free time and leadership - all useful life skills.

Thanks to All Saints, I believe I am prepared for the future and whatever its challenges may be!
