Our Vision
At All Saints we believe...
Every Child Matters Equally to God.
The vision for the academy is rooted in biblical teaching from
the gospel of John...
As I have loved you, so you must love each
other. By this everyone will know that you
are my disciples
John 13:34-35
Our vision is to be a Church of England Academy renowned for commitment to development of the whole person and for excellence in Teaching and Learning. To realise our vision we believe we must create an Academy where:
- Our Christian tradition and values, as expressed through hope, forgiveness, respect and loving care, is made real in our daily life
- Everyone is safe and secure within boundaries that are clearly expressed and consistently reinforced.
- Learning is central to everything we do; is challenging, rewarding, enjoyable and exploits new technologies.
- The Academy is a learning organisation in which everyone makes outstanding progress, personally, socially and academically.
- We celebrate success and diversity at every opportunity.
- Everyone is valued for their unique contribution to our success.
The Church of England Five Marks of Mission remain at the heart
of everything we do.

All Saints Academy is a school of character
Character education is the development of the personal traits and dispositions that guide how individuals think, feel and act. These traits, known as virtues, shape moral emotions, inform motivation and influence conduct. Character education includes both the explicit and implicit experiences that help young people to acquire and strengthen these positive virtues.
Character education is not a discrete subject, but a whole school endeavour. It is embedded within the culture, relationships and everyday practices of families, classrooms, schools and wider communities. Through character education, students learn to recognise what is ethically important in different situations and to act for the right reasons, enabling them to become increasingly reflective, responsible and autonomous individuals.
Central to character education is supporting students to consider the kind of person they wish to become and to make wise choices in complex and challenging situations. The ultimate aim is the development of practical wisdom: the ability to choose well between alternatives, informed by experience, reflection and growing ethical understanding. Over time, students develop the insight and judgement needed to live well, act with integrity and contribute positively to society.
How All Saints Academy enables all students to flourish in school and beyond
At All Saints Academy, we are committed to ensuring that every student flourishes both in school and in later life through the intentional development of character and virtue. Rooted in our belief that every child matters equally to God, character education is central to our vision, ethos, and daily practice.
We understand flourishing to mean more than academic success alone. Through a planned and coherent approach, character education permeates the curriculum, enrichment opportunities, collective worship, relationships and the wider life of the academy. Students are supported to develop the intellectual, moral, civic and performance virtues they need to live fulfilling lives and contribute positively to society.
Character and virtues are made explicit through our house system, which embeds shared values such as courage, integrity, service, justice, reconciliation and generosity into everyday school life. These values shape expectations, behaviours and relationships, helping students to grow in self-awareness, responsibility and respect for others
Through our INVOLVE and Cultural Capital programme, students are given rich opportunities to practise character in action. Leadership roles, social action, community service, advocacy, enrichment activities and inspirational encounters enable students to learn to know what is good, value it, and act upon it. This ensures that character is not only taught but lived.
At All Saints Academy, we aim to develop confident, compassionate and resilient young people who are successful learners, responsible citizens and effective contributors to the common good. By intentionally nurturing character alongside academic learning, we prepare students to flourish in school and beyond, equipped with the virtues they need to lead good lives and serve others well.
