Deputy Head Prefect Care, Guidance and Support

Hi, I’m Isla, and I’m honoured to have been appointed as Deputy Head of Care and Guidance.

In this role, I am committed to providing support, encouragement, and guidance to my fellow prefects and the wider school community. Working alongside my team throughout the academic year, I hope to help create an environment where both students and staff feel valued, supported, and comfortable. I will also continue working with the prefect team to ensure our new Year 7 students feel welcomed, settled, and happy as they become part of the All Saints community.

As Deputy Head of Care and Guidance, I want to promote positive mental wellbeing by encouraging students to look after their own mental health while also giving them the confidence to support those around them. I believe that creating a caring and understanding school environment allows everyone to thrive, both personally and academically.

Achieving my Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award has strengthened my resilience, commitment, and determination. Volunteering with the charity CPAD has also taught me the importance of compassion, service, and giving back to others. These experiences have helped shape the values I bring to this role, enabling me to support, care for, and respect everyone in our school community.

Since joining All Saints in Year 7, I have worked towards becoming a leader within the academy. My previous role as an Aidan House Prefect, alongside participating in the Leadership Development Programme, has allowed me to develop the confidence, communication, and leadership skills needed to fulfil this position. I will continue to reflect on and develop my skills so that I can carry out my responsibilities to the highest standard and provide the best possible support for others.

Throughout my time at All Saints, I have been fortunate to receive constant encouragement from staff and fellow students. As I take on this role, I hope to give younger students the same sense of belonging, support, and encouragement that has helped me grow.

My goal is to help create a school community built on kindness, leadership, and compassion—one where every student feels supported, valued, and inspired to achieve their full potential.
