Deputy Head Prefect Care, Guidance and Support
Year 11
My name is Komal, and I am the Deputy Head of Care, Guidance and Support prefect here at All Saints Academy. Ever since, I saw the Head girl give a speech at my year 7 celebration evening I had my mind set on being a prefect.
Being a prefect isn’t just a role to me, it’s a responsibility to ensure everyone within the academy is safe, happy and feels welcome. Within my role of being Deputy Head of Care, Guidance and Support, I will be aiming to make everyone within the academy feel safer, confident and able to freely express their faith and views. When I first started year 7, I was this shy, nervous girl and I am so glad to see her flourish throughout my years at All Saints to be where I am today.
Throughout my years at All Saints I have embraced challenges, honed my confidence and developed a strong sense of responsibility and I would love to give the chance to younger students to also experience this. I have had so much support from all staff and my peers and I want to give that to all the younger students in the academy.
I will be working closely with all the support teams, such as the anti-bullying team and encourage more students to join team like this as this will lead to a better and safer Academy for all.
Thank you.
