Year 11/Senior House Prefect (Aidan House)
The equipment available within departments such as Music and Drama are both very useful and lessons would just not be the same without them.
My name is Mikey and I am in Year 11. I like music and performance. In my spare time I play the guitar and sing. I have been playing guitar for around 4-5 years now and I love it. At All Saints, my favourite lessons are Music, Drama and History. The equipment available within departments such as Music and Drama are both very useful and lessons would just not be the same without them. I wanted to become a prefect as a way to give back to the school for everything it has given me in the time I have been here.
I am the Head Prefect of Aidan House. I enjoy the aspect of leadership it requires and the sense of responsibility the role gives me. I have been involved in student leadership in a few areas around the school. I would help out with the school choir whenever and however possible, this is due to my interest in music and wanting to help show off the department as much as I could. I was also part of the student interview panel during Year 10, which required interviewing new possible staff members. I really enjoyed doing this because it was interesting to see into how the school looked at new possible candidates for the staff members and I also liked the experience it gave me at interviewing people.
I think being a prefect will help me develop academically because having an important role makes me want to achieve more and get better grades, so that I can be a suitable role model for younger years, and I think being a prefect will help me develop as a person because it will give me a better understanding of leadership roles and how to work within a team.
