Senior Prefect Head of House

As a apart of Helena, our house values are generosity and service. As the new Head of Helena prefect I would like to further explore these values together with my Helena team by being passionate for what we want and conversing with the entire group to achieve our end goal. Generosity and service are one of the most important house values that we have our school and are one of the many things that inspired me to become a Helena prefect. Because of the mentioning of our values in worship numerous times it inspired me to want to help improve Helena so that we can be the best house that we can be. 

From year 7 it has been prioritised as a very important thing to know and to take inspiration from such as charity events. We are told that we should try and be embodied by these values like be kind to people, show our appreciation and one of our major goals is to raise as much money as we can to the charity of our choice. 

This is initially what inspired me to consider applying to be a prefect because I wanted to help my house. I never though about applying to be Head of Helena until year 9 when we I started to hear more information about prefects and what different types they were. After, year 9 I had met the previous head of Helena and ever since I was determined to try my hardest to achieve this goal so that I could be as helpful and charitable as I could be. What also played a major part in me wanting to take this position is to help the students in Helena feel comfortable to come and talk to me. As when I was in year 7 I had quite a hard time adjusting to the new setting and I did not feel comfortable to talk to the teachers. It was really advertised that I could speak to the head of Helena so I did not do anything until I finally got the courage to talk to someone. I don’t want anyone to feel alone. I want everyone to fell safe and happy in Allsaints. This is why I wanted to become Head of Helena and I am glad that I did become Head of Helena because now I get to work with amazing people and teachers.
