flowersToday I was invited to South Otterington Church of England Primary school to deliver worship. The children have been learning about ‘Peace’ so I shared the story of Mary and Martha (Luke 10: 38-42). I asked the children What makes you feel peaceful? How can we find peace?

After taking a moment to think of their answers I shared with them the ‘Peace Garden’ we had made here at the academy and asked that they create a garden of their own.

All the pupils of South Otterington were given a flower and asked to write on it to complete one of the following:

• I feel at peace when…

• I wish there was more peace in…

• Peace happens when…

This is their garden, which is now proudly displayed in the foyer of the school for all visitors to admire. garden

Thank you to all the staff and children for welcoming me and allowing me to experience a very peaceful afternoon.
