Careers

All Saints Academy is highly committed to providing our students with information, advice and guidance relating to future decisions and careers. As part of this we are working towards achieving all 8 of the Gatsby CEIAG Benchmarks.

Mr Dave Johnson (djohnson@allsaintsib.org) is the Academy’s named Careers Leader and is available to answer any questions from students, parents, carers, employers and learning providers regarding the current career provision. In addition, Mr Johnson is qualified to Level 6 Certificate in careers leadership and Level 6 diploma in career guidance and development. He is also registered professional of the CDI (Careers Development Institute) and he will ensure that every Year 11 student has at least one, 1-2-1 impartial careers guidance interview.

Monitoring our careers provision:

It is important to us that we regularly review the careers provision and gain the feedback of all participants. At the end of each careers focused PDE interaction all students and staff involved are required to complete an evaluation. External visitors are also encouraged to complete an evaluation to help the career lead shape future careers provision. Each term, the career lead completes a Compass + evaluation to show progress against the Gatsby 8 Benchmarks which is externally verified by the TVCA Careers team. The most recent report can be viewed here:

Our Destination data (see below), indicates our careers programme is having a positive effect on our students, many of whom go on to further education, apprenticeship programmes, other forms of training or employment. Destination data is provided via Youth Directions.

Destination Data

All Saints has developed strong relationships with post 16 providers and aims to ensure that all students, upon completing their KS4 studies, are aware of the options available regarding their futures and are confident in making informed, independent choices. As a result, a significant percentage of students attend one of the many local excellent FE providers and our destination data can be seen in the charts below for our last 3 years leavers (data provided by Stockton Council):
Stockton Council have experienced software issues and are currently unable to provide data for our student leavers from 2022 and 2021 and are working on resolving the issue. Once this has been resolved the destination data for November 2023 will be updated to show previous leavers destinations.
