Concerning the sad death of a local boy
Staff and students at All Saints Academy are saddened by the news of the death of a local boy from Ingleby Barwick.
Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go to the family, friends and everyone at Conyers School, where the student attended.
Whilst the Ingleby Barwick community remains very upset by this news, it is really important that our students come to school as the continuation of well-established routines help to support students. If students become distressed support will be made available and we will contact parents/carers should it prove necessary.
Our understanding is that the family have requested that no contact be made through social media or with members of the family at this time, whilst they try to come to terms with what has happened.
The academy wishes to offer the email addresses and telephone numbers of Father Clay Roundtree and Mother Catherine Reid who have agreed to speak with parents or students should they so desire.
Appointments can be made in school or at 3pm and if students are unable to attend the academy due to being upset, a home visit can be arranged.
If parents or students wish to seek this support they should contact our clergy directly:
Father Clay Roundtree firstname.lastname@example.org Telephone: 01642 760171
Mother Catherine Reid email@example.com Telephone: 07947 867974
Additionally Alex Burton, a school nurse, rang to pass her details on to the school for any students that may need to talk to someone. Her number is 01642 606591.
The academy has not received any official information and announcements will not be made within the academy as this may upset some students and staff further. We will continue to talk with students on an individual basis through our House system.
