Welcome to All Saints September 2016Posted on September 21st 2016
Welcome to the new year at All Saints Academy.
A particular welcome to our new Year 7 students and their families. Two weeks into the new term, and the academy is looking settled and purposeful. I personally have embarked on a series of interviews with our Year 11 students, aimind at determining how we can best support them in this final year at All Saints and how they themselves can seek to improve their chances of success in the summer 2017 examinations.
I look forward to welcoming a number of Year 7 students’ families at this evening’s Wine and Cheese event and we hope to see many families, both returning or new to All Saints, at the Open Evening on Thursday the 6th of October from 6:00pm onwards.
This summer brought considerable success for the class of 2016, both as individuals and collectively as a year group. The GCSE outcomes remain high, amongst the very highest in the region. With the Government imposing a series of new performance measures it is difficult to provide reliable comparative data until the performance tables are published later this year, however in a year on year comparison using the older performance measures, the results this summer stand up well. Many of our students were able to continue to further education or employment (apprenticeships) and we wish them well.
